As an Architect I have, over many years, worked with many Project Managers, Construction Managers and Owner’s Representatives. Rod is the best I have come across and would be an asset to any school that is undertaking construction.

Rod is firm and fair when dealing with CMs, architects, and other members of the design and construction team. His attention to detail and ability to track multiple complex contracts is superb...He often was asked to present (orally and in writing) to the Board the specifics about the risks, costs, and timelines of our multiple projects. The Board and leadership team have trust in Rod and his ability to convey complex issues in a clear and measured way.

His knowledge of the construction and planning processes is exceptional. From our first pre-planning meeting and continuing through the actual construction for each project, Rod provided insight and expertise that demonstrated an understanding of applicable building and safety codes, construction practices and project constraints.

Rod is very knowledgeable in both construction and design and is able to clearly communicate and lead a team in a manner that makes each member of the team believe they are coming to the correct decision on their own; a rare skill.

Rod's depth of knowledge of conventional construction all but guarantees he will understand the job's complexities. When he worked with us at Briggs, his use of standard construction disciplines..., managing and documenting conversations, weekly meetings, submittals and budgeting, were completed effortlessly and were accurate.
